A true ground-covering type with glossy, nearly spineless flattened pads and abundant yellow (fading to apricot) flowers in June. 4" high by 36" wide! Zone 4. I acquired it from Mary Ann Heacock. This plant gets more notice than almost any other in my garden. Sold as unrooted cuttings.
A beautiful succulent from Lesotho in southern Africa. Seed collected by Panayoti Kelaidis in 1995. Zone 5. Thick stems one half inch wide and 1-2 inches long form dense cushions, 3" high and 12" wide. Small leaves and small yellow flowers in summer. Best in rock garden with perfect drainage. Zone 5.
